    • Want to know about your ideal ski glasses?

Want to know about your ideal ski glasses?

Be well prepared before going skiing!

    Interesting

I’m off skiing this afternoon! So, I was packing my backpack and I started wondering what ski glasses to bring, as mine are really scratched… no, not because I fall a lot! ... lol.

I don’t usually use sports glasses but I went to Decathlon for a new pair and also to ask about ski goggles and, well, for those of you who are thinking of going skiing for the first time, you can pick up a pair for as little as 14.95 euros, so there’s no excuse!

I was checking out the different models and prices and, aside from the design and the brand name, the factors you should bear in mind are resistance, comfort, anti-fog coating and, as we spoke about in our post "what lens colour suits your lifestyle?", the colour and material of the lenses.

More expensive lenses are generally made from more resistant material such as polycarbonate, which is very resistant to scratching and to being dropped, whereas cheaper models generally use acetate.

On a comfort level, the only thing that changes over time is the quality of the sponge.

And finally, I found out that the more expensive goggles have a variety of lenses depending on the weather, so S1 for fog, S2 for changeable weather, S3 for sunshine…

I hope this has been of some help. In the end I went for a pair that was marked down from 53€ to just 40€. These ones!

My favourite design was this pair, at 105€, but I wasn’t convinced as they’re only for sunny days :(
