Happiness Shades: irresistibly cheerful sunglasses

The Blickers online shop was recently launched in English, and therefore it seems only right to have a proper introduction to one of the brands that we sell that we are really excited about - Happiness Shades!

Happiness Shades sunglasses have been in existence since 2007, and are a result of a union between an Italian family and a Californian fashion student. Like many start up companies, it started small selling glasses and shirts, but soon grew as awareness of the brand spread and gained popularity worldwide.

Happiness Shades, as the name suggests, have a positive, cheerful style. The models are all different, but one of their main features is they are based on classic shapes but with modern twists in their designs. This often comes in the form of experimentation with colours and patterns in the frames, or use of materials such as semi-transparent cellulose acetate.

The first model of Happiness Shades that I will introduce you to are called SO QUIET (click name to see model in online shop) They have a thick, wayfarer frame made of cellulose acetate that makes them have a translucent look that is contrasted against the dark, gradient lenses. This unique design that comes in pale pink, green and turquoise-blue has a young, modern and fresh look.

The GRRRUNGE model are made of three layers of cellulose acetate, making the colours appear different depending on how the light hits the frames. The frames are dark at the top, blending down into colours at the bottom, (either yellow, red, green or blue).

The KILL ME model are at the top of the range of Happiness Shades, and are also the ones that best show the rocker side of the brand. They have a square shape with rounded edges, and are the most daring in terms of the colours of the frames - choose between two versions of coloured skulls, tortoise shell or black with studs on the arms.
