This email must include photos or videos where the defect is clearly visible. Our opticians will carefully analyse the defect and give you an answer as to whether it is a manufacturing defect.
12.5. If the item is found to be faulty we will bear the shipping costs to return the item to the manufacturer and to send you a new item. Please note that this only applies to orders within the European Union. For items purchased from outside the European Union you will need to send the item to us free of customs and import duties.

12.7. If the defect is not considered a manufacturing defect, we will bring it to your attention before you send the item in order to avoid you spending time and money on warranty claims.
12.8. Although we will handle any warranty procedure as quickly as possible, warranty claims may take weeks to be resolved as they depend on the manufacturer's timing.
13. Prescription lenses
When ordering prescription glasses, please pay special attention to the following information, as we only ship prescription glasses under the following conditions:
13.1. By placing an order through our website, you warrant that the information you have entered to purchase the lenses is correct, true and matches the prescription you have received from your optician or ophthalmologist exactly.
13.2. You hereby represent and warrant that the prescription you submit as part of your order is valid at the date of placing your order and is less than one year old. You further represent and warrant that you will renew your prescription in accordance with the instructions of your optician.
13.3. When choosing your lenses you will be able to customise your prescription, the quality of the lens, what treatments you would like to add, what thickness reduction you would like and what colour tints you would like.
13.4. Please note that spectacle and contact lens prescriptions may differ from one to another, so you should make sure that you are ordering with the correct parameters indicated in your prescription for the type of product you wish to purchase.
13.5. The lenses sold by Blickers come from leading brands such as Hoya and Essilor. The brand of the lenses cannot be chosen by the customer, as this will be defined by our opticians, taking into consideration the prescription and the options chosen regarding quality level, added treatments, thickness reduction and colour tints.
13.6. If you order spectacles, we will also require your pupillary distance, or PD, in order to process your order. When your optician instructs you to wear glasses, they should provide you with a copy of your prescription specifying your PD. In the event that PD is not included in your order you can ask your optician to take a measurement. In the event that you use an average PD, which is automatically entered on our site if the values are not entered manually, you agree that you waive all rights to any claim against us in the event that the lenses ordered are not suitable for you as a result of the above.
13.7. Production times for prescription lenses vary in working days depending on the complexity of the prescription and the type of lens required. Once your lenses have been manufactured and inserted into the frame they will be shipped to you using the means of transport you have selected. We will try to predict as accurately as possible the manufacturing and delivery time but some lenses in particular have to be manufactured on demand and may take several extra days to be ready for dispatch. The time required to process orders containing higher prescriptions may also take longer as they are manufactured one at a time.
13.8. When you receive your new glasses, please allow a few days to get used to the new lenses. Your eyes may need to get used to the new lenses, especially if your prescription has changed since your last pair of glasses. Please visit your optician if your eyes do not adjust to the new lenses.
13.9. There are several different ways of calculating and reflecting the same prescription so you should not be concerned if you see your prescription written differently anywhere on the information provided with your new glasses. However, if you feel that the prescription lenses you have received are not correct, please contact us at contact@blickers.com and we will check it for you. If our team confirms that there was an error on our part, we will offer you an immediate solution.
13.10. Prescription glasses or glasses with personalised lenses are not returnable, as they are considered personalised products. We will not refund any orders for prescription or personalised glasses unless we have expressly agreed to do so in writing.
13.11. For US customers only: as prescriptions are entered manually, we are legally obliged to verify your prescription with your optician. This is to ensure that we provide you with the correct prescription lenses and contact lenses in your order. In accordance with the U.S. Consumer Contact Lens Fairness Act, if the seller does not receive a confirmation response from your optician within 8 business hours, the seller may sell the contact lenses and/or prescription lenses to the customer.
