Rumour has it that SUPER was the brand name that initiated the trend for acetate sunglasses (commonly called plastic sunglasses), in 2007. They are characterised by the extensive range of contemporary, eye-catching colours.
What’s more, SUPER has always been committed to superior quality standards and their glasses are handmade in Italy by the foremost manufacturers using the finest quality materials.

The Beckerman brothers, Daniel and Simon, were both advertising agents for the most prestigious fashion and music magazine in Italy, PIG, and founded the brand name when, according to Daniel, they realised that nobody was making original frames and everyone was sticking to the typical standard models and colours.
At a later date SUPER merged with Zeiss, the optical sector leader, in order to ensure the quality of the lenses. In the end, they became so popular that the bigger brand names immediately began producing more colourful models.
We have no doubt that the Beckerman brothers can feel proud of the success of their innovative fashion proposal, a proposal that went against the grain and was so well received. Congratulations, team SUPER!
